AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF OLIVE BRANCH TO ADOPT AND ENFORCE ORDINANCES, REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHING MINIMUM STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DESIGN OF BUILDINGS, BUILDING SITES AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Olive Branch, in their discretion, may adopt and enforce ordinances, regulations and requirements establishing minimum standards and specifications for the design of buildings, building sites and development projects within the municipality. Such ordinances, regulations and requirements may provide for the review and approval of such buildings, sites and projects through the planning and/or building department of the municipality. Such review may include, but is not limited to, grading, drainage, site preparation, parking, traffic circulation, vehicular and pedestrian access, public and private improvements, building form and materials, landscaping, fences, screening and buffering.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
